Brittany Alvarez has a diverse work experience across multiple industries. Brittany started their career in 2013 as an Electrical Engineering Intern at First Quality Enterprises. During their time there, they used CAD software to record and locate electrical circuit diagrams, improving maintenance efficiency. In 2014, they interned as an Occupational Health and Safety Intern at the same company, where they implemented a fitness center training program and designed safety posters.
In the same year, Brittany also worked as a Research Fellow at LiveWell Greenville, conducting research in the field of health and wellness. Brittany then joined Furman University Sports and Recreation as a Physical Activities Center Desk Manager and later as a Clinical and Administrative Student Health Intern. In these roles, they managed the desk operations and gained experience in healthcare administration.
Brittany's healthcare experience continued when they joined Novant Health in 2018 as a Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Antepartum, and Gynecological Surgery Nurse. After working in this role for three years, they transitioned to Maven Clinic in 2021. At Maven Clinic, they started as a Care Advocate II and was involved in the implementation of various care planning programs and remote patient monitoring pilots. Brittany demonstrated strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities in collaborating with cross-functional teams and reporting bugs for product improvements.
In 2023, Brittany advanced to the role of Senior Care Advocate - Product Liaison at Maven Clinic. In this position, they became responsible for engaging Maven members with the platform and providing resources and support. Brittany consistently received high ratings from members and contributed to the early detection and resolution of product issues. Currently, they hold the position of Care Delivery Operations Associate at Maven Clinic.
Brittany Alvarez's education history begins in 2013 when they enrolled in Furman University. Brittany pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Health Sciences with a minor in Medicine, Health, and Culture. Brittany attended Furman University until 2017.
In 2016, Brittany briefly attended UC Irvine, where they studied International Public Health/International Health. However, it is not clear if they obtained a degree from this institution.
Following their time at Furman University, Brittany transferred to Northeastern University in 2017. There, they pursued an Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN). Brittany completed this program in 2018.
Additionally, Brittany obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2014, they became a Certified Peer Health Educator through The BACCHUS Initiatives of NASPA. In 2016, they gained expertise in suicide prevention as a Question Persuade Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper from the QPR Institute. In 2017, they earned the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association.
Brittany continued to acquire certifications in the nursing field. In 2018, they became a Registered Nurse certified by the Florida Board of Nursing. In 2019, they obtained the Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics, as well as the S.T.A.B.L.E certification from the Stable Program. Most recently, in 2021, they achieved the Maternal Newborn Nursing (RNC-MNN) certification from The National Certification Corporation.
