Mikhail Matrosov

Lead Software Engineer at Mawari

Mikhail Matrosov has a diverse work experience history starting in 2011 when they worked as a software engineer/C++ developer for ABBYY during their student practice. In 2012, they worked as a major laboratory assistant with the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research where they worked on Hadoop research and developed a system that aggregated logging messages and outputted statistics for each WLCG node. From 2012-2013, they worked as a software engineer/Java developer with Avigy Inc where they developed Android and desktop applications for pets and children, utilizing computer vision to detect players and control Bluetooth toys. From 2014-2015, they worked as a computer vision technologies researcher/Python developer during their internship with Yandex, where they focused on studying the application of convolutional networks to icon recognition problems. In 2015, they co-founded Tardis 3D Technologies and became the CTO. Mikhail currently works as a lead software engineer for Mawari since 2022. Mikhail also worked on an internship with MiniMe 3D in 2015 where they studied the processability and optimization of 3D printed statue manufacturing. In addition, they worked as a physics and math teacher with MIPT Distant Phystech School from 2009-2012.

Mikhail Matrosov earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Particle Physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) from 2009-2013. Mikhail then earned a Master's degree in IT from Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology from 2013-2015, as well as a Master's degree in Intellectual Data Analysis from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) during the same time period. In 2013, they attended the MIT-Skoltech Innovation Workshop at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Matrosov later received a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Intelligent Space Robotics Lab from Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology from 2015-2018.
