Jon Arnell

CIO - Head Of Investment Strategy at Max Matthiessen

Jon Arnell has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Jon started their career as a Summer Analyst at Aragon Securities AB in 2000. Jon later worked as an Equity Research Analyst at the same company before attending university. After university, Jon joined Statoil in 2003 as a Sales employee. In 2004, they transitioned to Carnegie Investment Bank, where they worked in Private Banking and Asset Management. Jon then moved to ABG Sundal Collier as an Equity Analyst from 2005 to 2008. Jon then joined HQ Bank as an Equity and Derivatives Trader from 2008 to 2010. In 2011, they joined AB Electrolux as a Pension Manager, overseeing investments for several pension foundations. In 2015, Jon joined Max Matthiessen, initially as a Portfolio Manager/Analyst and later as the Head of Investments. Their most recent position at Max Matthiessen is the CIO and Head of Investment Strategy, responsible for setting the House View and leading the strategic and tactical asset allocation.

Jon Arnell completed their Master's degree in Finance from Stockholm University from 1998 to 2002. In 2006, they attended Stockholm School of Economics Executive Education for financial analysis. Prior to that, from 1996 to 2002, they also studied Business Administration, Economics, and Statistics at Uppsala University.
