James de la Cruz

James de la Cruz currently serves as Chairman of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Section Head of Preventive and Community Medicine 1 at UV Gullas College of Medicine, where also holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine. As President of AIDvocates, a Cebu City NGO, James leads initiatives focused on HIV/AIDS awareness, counseling, and stigma reduction. With extensive experience as an Occupational Health Physician across multiple organizations, including Maxicare Healthcare Corporation and Cebu Landmasters, James also engages as a part-time faculty and guest lecturer at various universities. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Occupational Health and Industrial Hygiene from the University of the Philippines and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Matias H. Aznar Memorial College of Medicine.
