Diana Freire

Diana Freire is a Marketing & Communications Manager at MaxWell Biosystems. Diana has also worked as a project manager and science outreach coordinator at Ciência Viva, an organization dedicated to improving communication strategies around health and female empowerment. Freire has produced content for radio and television, including episodes of "Zig-Zag - um minuto de ciência por dia não sabes o bem que te fazia" and guided tour videos with scientific and educational content. Diana has also organized events such as the Ciência2019 and Ciência2020 Science and Technology Summits. Freire is passionate about education and has participated in training programs for teachers, teaching about topics such as chemistry, biochemistry, and storytelling strategies.

Diana Freire has a PhD in Biochemistry from the European Molecular Biology Laboratory and a Master's Degree in Structural and Functional Biochemistry from Universidade Nova de Lisboa. Diana also has a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Chemistry from Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
