Anuar Awang

Anuar Awang has extensive work experience in the banking and financial industry. Anuar currently holds the position of Managing Director, Client Coverage, Group Global Banking at Maybank Investment Banking Group since December 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Maybank Investment Bank from 2007 to 2022, holding multiple roles including Director, Client Coverage, Global Banking; Associate Director, Mergers & Acquisitions; Senior Manager, Investment Banking Division; and Manager, Corporate & Investment Banking. Before joining Maybank, they served as a Senior Analyst, Ratings at Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad from 2006 to 2007. Anuar started their career in 2001 at Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) as an Executive, Corporate Finance, where they worked until 2005.

Anuar Awang pursued a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia in the years 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting and Finance from The University of Auckland from 1997 to 2000. Anuar also completed their high school education at New Zealand International College, Auckland in 1996 and earned their SPM from MRSM Taiping, Perak in 1994. Anuar started their secondary education at Sekolah Menengah Seri Dungun, Terengganu in 1991 and finished in 1993, obtaining their PMR.
