Marcus McQuillan has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Marcus started their career at Sainsbury's as a Customer Assistant in 2010 before moving on to work at Sheffield Students' Union as a Bars & Catering Assistant. In 2012, they joined the British Army as a Junior Under Officer, where they gained leadership experience and conducted training for Officer Cadets. Marcus then transitioned to working at Royal Mail, initially as an Operations Graduate - Work Area Manager - Night Shift, and later as an Operations Graduate - Delivery Line Manager. At Royal Mail, they managed teams, implemented process improvements, and ensured compliance with service standards. Marcus then joined Dyson as a Regional Development Manager, where they drove the retail strategy for the Central London area and managed a team of Dyson Experts. Marcus then joined The Kraft Heinz Company, where they held various roles, including National Account Executive, National Account Manager, and Online and Digital Channels Manager. Marcus was responsible for account management, financial reporting, negotiation, and digital strategy implementation. Currently, Marcus is working at Mayborn Group Limited as the Head of Mass Channel. In this role, they oversee business development and channel growth. Overall, Marcus McQuillan has a strong background in sales, account management, retail strategy, and operations management.

Marcus McQuillan attended Durham School from 2007 to 2010. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at Durham Johnston School from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained 3 A levels in Geography, Economics, and Biology. Following this, Marcus went on to study Human Geography at Sheffield Hallam University from 2012 to 2015, earning a degree in Human Geography. In addition to their academic qualifications, they obtained a certification in Leadership & Management from the Chartered Management Institute in June 2015.
