Raghavendra Hosur

Raghavendra Hosur serves as the Head of Computational Biology at Maze Therapeutics since April 2025. Prior to this role, Raghavendra held various positions at Encoded Therapeutics Inc. from October 2017 to February 2025, including Senior Director of Computational Biology and Machine Learning, Director, Associate Director, and Senior Scientist. Raghavendra's career began at Biogen from July 2012 to September 2017, where roles included Senior Scientist in Computational and Systems Biology and Computational Scientist in Translational Research. Raghavendra's early experience includes a Research Assistant position at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab from June 2007 to May 2012, focusing on algorithms for protein-protein interactions and drug-response predictions. Raghavendra also completed a summer internship at Tata Research Development and Design Center in 2004. Raghavendra earned a PhD in emerging, fundamental, and computational materials science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology between 2006 and 2012, and a BTech+MTech in Materials Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 2001 to 2006.
