Julian Maller

Julian Maller currently serves as the Head of Computational Biology at Ochre Bio, a position held since March 2025. Prior to this role, Julian was the Director of Research Technology at Vertex Pharmaceuticals from January 2018 to February 2025, where responsibilities included overseeing data and analytics solutions for drug discovery, co-developing a strategic roadmap for next-gen scientific data ecosystems, and leading the implementation of a Genomic Data and Analytics platform. Julian's earlier experience includes serving as a Senior Statistical Geneticist at Genomics plc from September 2015 to December 2017 and completing a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital from October 2012 to August 2015. Julian earned a PhD in Statistics from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Columbia Engineering.
