Evangelos Stamatopoulos

Evangelos Stamatopoulos has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and companies. Evangelos currently holds the position of Head of Production Platform Department at MBition GmbH, overseeing production activities. Prior to this, they worked as an Engineering Team Lead and ADAS Product Owner at the same company.

Before joining MBition GmbH, Stamatopoulos worked at Valeo, where they served as a Systems Engineer and Function Owner Lead. Their responsibilities included coordinating and supporting the development of parking functions and overseeing systems engineering methodology. Evangelos also contributed to system development and supported various parking functions.

Stamatopoulos gained experience at DAF Trucks NV as a Systems Designer Trainee, working on the development of environment models and ADAS architecture for trucks. During this time, they focused on sensor selection and the development of sensor data fusion algorithms.

Evangelos also worked at Eindhoven University of Technology as a Postgraduate Design Engineer in Automotive Systems Design, where they developed both technical and non-technical competencies related to designing and developing modern automotive systems. Evangelos also served as an intern at the Dynamics and Control Technology Lab, focusing on sensorless control techniques for high-speed Switched Reluctance Machines.

Stamatopoulos has had additional trainee roles at KLM Cargo, Automotive Technology InMotion, and BENTELER Automotive, where they gained experience in designing automated guided vehicles for cargo, analyzing and designing powertrain and energy management strategies for hybrid race cars, and designing electro-hydraulic power steering systems for heavy-duty trucks, respectively.

Furthermore, they worked at ASML as a Mechatronics Control Engineer, optimizing the identification of Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output optical modules.

Evangelos Stamatopoulos completed their Combined Bachelor and Master of Engineering degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Patras from 2005 to 2010. Evangelos then pursued further education at the Eindhoven University of Technology, where they obtained their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Systems & Control from 2012 to 2014.
