Max Koeune is the current President & CEO at McCain Foods Canada. Prior to this, they were the Head of Corporate Development at Danone from February 2004 to December 2012, where they were in charge of all aspects of the implementation of acquisitions, and disposals for the company. This included negotiation and oversight of 40+ transactions in 3,5 years in varied geographies including Russia, Brazil, India, US and Asia Pacific. Max also managed a team of 12 based in Paris and Asia-Pacific, and represented Danone on the Board of Directors of several joint ventures.
Before their time at Danone, Max was the M&A manager at Groupe Danone from June 1998 to March 2001, where they were in charge of sales & divestiture transactions on behalf of the company. Max led or participated in several divestitures (glass business in Europe, frozen food businesses in France and in Spain, prepared foods business in France), and aquisition projects (waters in North America, dairy activities in North America, etc.), including tender offers on US stockmarket.
Max has also held the position of Finance Vice President at CPGmarket.com from April 2001 to January 2004, and M&A specialist at ING Barings / Baring Brothers from September 1995 to May 1998.
Max Koeune has a degree in finance from ESCP Business School. Max has worked in the financial sector for several years.
