Dan Pennington

Infrastructure Engineer at MCG Energy Solutions

Dan Pennington has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Dan began their career in 1998 as a Network Administrator at Eschelon Telecom, where they provisioned DSL and T-1 data connections and maintained company equipment. In 2008, Dan moved to Medtronic as a WAN Engineer, ordering WAN circuits for Medtronic offices worldwide. Later that same year, Dan took a job at Cargill as a Network Operations, where they monitored network connectivity for Cargill locations and diagnosed connectivity issues on WAN and LAN circuits. In 2009, Dan became a Lab Engineer at Wells Fargo, designing and implementing site network replications for the purpose of testing new equipment and software. In 2011, Dan moved to Velocity Technology Solutions as a Sr Network Engineer, maintaining a network for a data center that catered to cloud computing customers. In 2013, Dan joined 3M Cogent as a Datacenter Administrator, assisting in the migration of the datacenter network from Alcatel routers and switches to Cisco infrastructure. In 2016, Dan became a Network Engineer at CompuCom, contributing to the day to day operation of the enterprise network. In 2017, Dan returned to Wells Fargo as a Network Analyst, successfully working with the Wells Fargo NPIC team to close gaps in inventory documentation. In 2019, Dan joined British Telecom Professional Services as a Network Professional. Currently, Dan is an Infrastructure Engineer at MCG Energy Solutions, LLC.

Dan Pennington attended NEI College of Technology from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Digital Specialist degree.
