Gemma Aguilar

Gemma Aguilar is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in entrepreneurship, language interpretation, education, and authorship. As the founder and CEO of GemStar Survival since October 2018, Gemma leads a company specializing in survival adventure essentials. Concurrently, Gemma serves as a language interpreter and translator for MCIS Language Solutions and a foreign language teacher at Interlangues, providing proficiency-oriented training to diplomatic corps members. With significant teaching experience, including roles as an ESL professor at uOttawa, senior lecturer at The Hague University, and senior lecturer at Rotterdam Business School, Gemma has developed curricula and taught various business communication courses. As a contributing author of “Pebbles in the Pond,” Gemma shares insights on overcoming challenges, complementing a volunteer experience with First Nations Mission Fellowship that enriched cultural understanding.
