The leadership team at McKay has a history of working in various industries, including transaction advisory services, corporate finance, private investigation, quality assurance and safety systems management, customs, and commercial finance. They have also worked for a variety of companies, including EY, KPMG, Babcock International NZ, The Investigation Bureau, Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust, New Zealand Customs Service, Northpower, Downer New Zealand, Fonterra, and The New Zealand Refining Company. They have also received education from a variety of institutions, including the University of York, Rangitoto College, and The Open Polytechnic of NZ.
