Mario Pieries

Mario Pieries, M.Eng, PMP®, P.Eng. is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the nuclear and energy sectors. Currently serving as the Global Director of Nuclear at Hatch, responsibilities include overseeing project performance and PMO effectiveness while managing client relationships and mentoring staff. Notable previous positions include roles at Ontario Power Generation, where Mario led the Re-tube Feeder Replacement mega project, and Suncor Energy, focusing on process safety and environmental management. Additionally, Mario contributes to academia as a Sessional Faculty member at McMaster University and a Professor at Algoma University. With a Bachelor’s in Engineering & Society from McMaster University and a Master’s in Engineering Management from Ontario Tech University, Mario combines technical expertise with leadership acumen.
