Shamim Ahmed

Shamim Ahmed, PhD, currently serves as Adjunct Faculty at International Business University and as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Toronto Scarborough and McMaster University, covering various topics in child health, global health, epidemiology, and integrated business and humanities. Prior to these roles, Shamim taught as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto while also contributing as a Design Researcher, Clinical Research Specialist at St. Michael's Hospital, and Consultant for various organizations, including CARE Bangladesh and MEASURE Evaluation. With a strong foundation in public health, Shamim holds a PhD in Social and Behavioral Health Sciences from the University of Toronto and multiple degrees in public health and economics from reputable institutions. Notably, Shamim has served as Head of Policy and Advocacy at WaterAid, leading initiatives in water, sanitation, and hygiene for marginalized communities.
