Tsikata Apenyo has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2014, they served as a Cadet in the Army ROTC until 2019. From 2018 to 2019, they were a Fulbright Fellow, participating in the United States' flagship international educational exchange program. In 2019, Tsikata became a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army, and in 2020, they joined The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management as a Member.
In 2021, Tsikata took on the role of an Analyst at Van Wickle Ventures, an Associate and Venture Fellow at HC9 Ventures, and an Editorial Board Member at the Journal of Orthopaedic Experience & Innovation. They also became the Director of Finance at MD+ in the same year.
In 2022, Tsikata continued their work as an Associate at HC9 Ventures and began their role as a Founder & CEO of indeHealth, a startup aimed at changing the current healthcare system to make a healthy life a human right.
In 2023, Tsikata joined Team8 as an MBA Associate and has been taking on the role of a Venture Fellow at HC9 Ventures alongside their other responsibilities.

Tsikata Apenyo obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Portland in the years 2014 to 2018. Then, from 2019 to 2023, Tsikata pursued a Doctor of Medicine degree at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. In parallel, Tsikata also enrolled in the Yale School of Management from 2022 to 2024, where they pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Business Administration and Management. Prior to these degrees, Tsikata completed high school at Bishop Alemany High School from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, Tsikata obtained various certifications including being a 2018-2019 Fulbright U.S. Student Finalist from the Fulbright Association, completing the Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) from Livingworks Education USA in 2016, acquiring Passive Range of Movement (PROM) training from Oregon Health & Sciences University in 2015, becoming CPR certified by the American Red Cross in 2014, and receiving the title of Kyokushin Karate Instructor from John Burdyck's Karate Boxing in 2011.
