Melanie Kerns, CPA, has over 30 years of experience in accounting and finance. Melanie began their career in 1989 as an Audit Senior at Deloitte & Touche. In 1991, they moved to National Recovery Technologies, Inc. as a Controller. From 1994 to 1996, they were the Assistant Vice President, Controller for Bank of Dickson where they attended the Tennessee School of Banking. From 1996 to 2007, they were the VP Corporate Controller for Ozburn-Hessey Logistics, LLC, where they were part of the management team that grew the company from $36 million in annual sales to approximately $600 million in annual sales. From 2007 to 2010, they were the VP Finance & IT and a member of the Executive Management Team at Hickory Hardware Inc. where they managed the Accounting and IT functions for the company and was the financial liason to their parent company. From 2010 to 2016, they were the Corporate Controller at Kenco Group, Inc. and in 2021, they became the Chief Financial Officer at MDsave, Inc.

Melanie Kerns, CPA obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1987. In 1990, they obtained their Certified Public Accountant certification from the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA).
