Wanjiku Koinange has a diverse range of work experience in the music and media industry. Wanjiku began their career as a Production Assistant at 98.4 Capital FM in 2008. Wanjiku then moved on to work as an Account Manager at Reelforge Media Monitoring from 2009 to 2010. In 2011, they joined 107 Spark FM, where they held various positions including Radio Presenter, Head of Speech, and Peer Trainer.

In 2013, Wanjiku joined Pine Creek Records as an Artists and Repertoire (A&R) Manager. At the same time, they also worked as a Personal Assistant at Diva Inc., where they managed day-to-day activities and projects for Diva Inc. and Kenyan musician Atemi Oyungu. Wanjiku left both of these positions in 2015.

Since 2014, Wanjiku has been working at Mdundo.com, where they are the Head of Music. In this role, they lead the music and licensing strategy across Africa, as well as the day-to-day operations. Wanjiku is responsible for securing a scalable and sustainable music acquisition strategy for Mdundo, which is a leading music service for Africa with millions of users streaming and downloading music from their app and website every month.

Wanjiku Koinange pursued their education in a chronological order. In 2005, they attended Africa Nazarene University, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication with a focus on Electronic Media. Wanjiku enrolled at the University of Sunderland in 2011 and completed their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Radio (Management and Production) in 2012. Additionally, in September 2017, they obtained a certification in Mentoring Others from LinkedIn.
