Jean-Paul O'Brien has held various roles in the tech industry since 2012. Jean-Paul began as a Lead Mentor at TechStars in 2012 and then went on to become an Investor and Mentor at ONX Sports in 2014. Jean-Paul also founded Black Lab Sports, LLC that same year and served as the Founder and Managing Partner. In 2015, they co-founded and served as the CEO of isplack, a game-day products company. In 2017, they became an Investor and Mentor at Nix Biosensors. In 2018, they took on the role of Investor and Mentor at Dynepic, Inc. and Advisory Board Member at Riderflex. In 2019, they became a Strategic Advisor at Unlimited Sciences. In 2020, they founded and served as the CEO of Me Biosciences. Lastly, in 2022, they became an Investor and Advisor at Sia Precision Education.

Jean-Paul O'Brien graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Cornell University in 1995, having studied there from 1991.
