Charles Rutherford

Charles Rutherford, CSSBB, has extensive experience in business process management and engineering. Since February 2007, Charles has served as the Director of Business Process Management for Mecklenburg County, leading initiatives to optimize operational efficiencies across county departments. Prior to this role, Charles was the Engineering Manager at Advantica Corporation from January 1999 to December 2006, overseeing engineering programs and process improvements for a vast network of 1650 facilities. Charles also worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Philip Morris from December 1993 to January 1999, managing cross-functional projects for packaging machinery improvements. Charles began the career as a Design Engineer at Day & Zimmermann from June 1989 to December 1993. Charles holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
