Michael Harman, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of medtech consulting, research and development, and academia. Michael is currently working as the Principal Medtech Consultant & Scientific Liaison at Harman Consulting. Prior to this, they served as the NEMIC SMARTeam - Molecular Diagnostic and Biotechnology Consultant at The NEMIC Foundation, where they supported the advancement of medical technologies to market and promoted a supportive Med Tech entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Before that, Michael worked as a Senior Consultant & Scientific Liaison at MeCo Diagnostics, where they played a significant role in establishing connections within the commercial diagnostics industry and promoting the MECO diagnostic platform. Michael also contributed to defining publications and provided scientific oversight and guidance on the cellular biomechanical behavior.

Michael's experience also includes leadership roles in research and development. Michael served as the Director of R&D, Technology and Innovation I Product Design and Engineering at Veranex, where they led business development efforts and played a tactical leader role in executing functional design efforts on cutting-edge medical products. Prior to this, they served as the Director of R&D, Technology and Innovation and Research & Development Engineering Manager at Ximedica, where they formed a novel technology group, maintained strategic relationships with academic institutions, and provided technical subject matter expertise.

In academia, Michael worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Brown University, School of Engineering, and Rhode Island Hospital, Division of Surgical Research, where they conducted research in the fields of soft matter, cell mechanics, immunology, and pathobiology. Michael also worked as a Senior Research Specialist and Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Arizona, Department of Physics, and The University of Connecticut Health Center, respectively.

Michael Harman, PhD, completed their education in a chronological order.
