Doug Baker

Doug Baker is an accomplished professional in the medical device industry with extensive experience in project management and product development. Currently serving as Sr. Project Director - Spine at Medacta USA, Inc. since March 2024, Baker previously held various senior leadership roles at Smith+Nephew, including Sr. Director of New Product Development for Shoulder & Ankle Arthroplasty and Sr. Director of Global Sustaining Engineering for Hips, Knees, & Trauma. Additional experience includes serving as Managing Director at Kinetix Medical and multiple senior positions at Medtronic Spine & Biologics, where responsibilities included leading project management and international R&D efforts. Baker co-founded Pivotal Product Development and contributed as a Development Engineer at Toyota Racing Development. Educational credentials include a BSME in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Memphis and completion of the Executive Development Program at The Wharton School.
