Craig Dalton has a diverse work experience, starting with positions in the military. Craig served in the US Army and the Canadian Armed Forces, where they held various leadership roles, including Commanding Officer and Chief of Staff. Craig later pursued post-graduate studies at the Australian Defence Force Academy. Dalton then transitioned to government roles, working as a Deputy Minister in departments such as Social Development and Family and Human Services. Craig also served as the Veterans' Ombudsman for the Government of Canada. Dalton later took on the role of Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Lethbridge and the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Executive Officer of EM/ANB and Chief Operating Officer of Medavie Health Services in 2023.

Craig Dalton has a diverse education history. Craig completed their Master of Arts in Policy from Deakin University in 2011. Earlier, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Strategic Planning (Systemic Design) from the United States Army Command and General Staff College in 2006 and a Master of Science degree in Administration (Strategic Leadership) from Central Michigan University in 2004.
