We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Analyst, Accounting & Financial Reporting to join our team. The Senior Analyst, Accounting & Financial Reporting is a key participant in the Company’s accounting close and reporting cycle and will be responsible for month-end closing, account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement reporting for internal and external use, assisting with audit preparation, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.

This role is key to providing accurate and timely financial information used to support both internal decision making and external constituents.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day accounting activities and conduct month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare financial statements and other internal and external financial reports.
  • Prepare flux analysis on the income statement and balance sheet, with month-to-month changes and year over year changes supported and explained.
  • Respond to queries from other finance and company-wide managers regarding financial results, special reports, and related topics.
  • Assist with the annual external audit, including preparation of audit workpapers, financial disclosures, and communications with the auditors on sampled items.
  • Contribute to the development of our new accounting system and support the continuous improvement of processes to maximize accuracy and efficiency for assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns.
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests, as needed.

Education, Experience, and Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting + CPA Required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting including public accounting.
    • Big 4 experience highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced experience with Excel and financial accounting systems.
  • Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within the team.

Additional Information:

MedeAnalytics believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $110,000 USD. Please note that actual compensations for all roles may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, relevant work experience, professional achievements/qualifications, skill level, business need, location and will be finalized at the time of offer.
