Mauricio Simoes

Mauricio Simoes, FMP, is an experienced finance and human resources manager currently serving as the Project Finance and Human Resources Manager at Médecins Sans Frontières since September 2023. Prior to this role, Simoes held various management positions, including General Manager at Sodexo and Operations Manager at Compass Group Canada, where responsibilities included overseeing significant projects for Rio Tinto and Arcelor Mittal. Simoes also served as Country Manager for Catering International & Services in Mozambique, managing integrated life support services and a workforce of 250 employees. With extensive experience in corporate services and integrated facilities management at Sodexo, Simoes has managed multiple sites across Canada and Angola, focusing on human resources and operations management. Simoes holds a Hospitality Degree from Glion Institute of Higher Education and a High School Diploma from Frankfurt International School in Germany.
