Joseph Walters

Joseph Walters has a diverse range of work experience in the technology industry. Joseph began their career as a Test Engineer at UniKey Technologies, where they contributed to designing and building test equipment for manufacturing processes and automated test procedures.

Joseph then joined Valencia College as a Learning Assistant, where they tutored students in STEM-related subjects and worked as a Supplemental Instructor.

After that, Joseph worked at TrueNorth Technology Solutions, Inc. as a Software Engineer. Here, they gained experience in Ruby, Ruby on Rails, VueJS, API development, and SaaS platform architectures. Joseph also played a role in developing offline medical form systems and enhancing the SaaS ERP framework Compass Agile Enterprise.

Following their time at TrueNorth, Joseph joined Medecision as a Software Engineer. Joseph was involved in updating and enhancing the enterprise platform and training the team on the platform. Joseph later took on the role of Technical Project Lead, where they worked with the organization to define system requirements, architect solutions, and lead a team of engineers. Joseph then became the Engineering Productivity Lead, responsible for improving cycle times, reducing overhead, and automating metrics gathering for the engineering team. Most recently, Joseph served as a Software Architect, leading the design of the software delivery system and focusing on simplifying development and infrastructure tooling. Joseph is currently serving as the Sr. Manager, Operational Engineering, responsible for improving infrastructure, DevOps practices, and product reliability.

Joseph Walters has an education history that includes a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Central Florida, which they obtained from 2017 to 2019. Prior to their bachelor's degree, they pursued an Associate's Degree in General A.A. (Directed towards Engineering) at Valencia College from 2015 to 2016. Joseph completed their high school education at Harmony High School from 2011 to 2015, receiving a High School Diploma in General Education.

In addition to their formal education, Joseph has obtained two certifications. In May 2015, they received a Certificate of Training from the United States Army JROTC. In May 2014, they became an Autodesk Certified User: Inventor through Autodesk.
