Lauren Hyland

Lauren Hyland has held various roles in the field of design and service. Lauren currently works as a Service Design Lead at Medenterprises since January 2024. Prior to that, they were a Head of Design (Secondment) from August 2023 to December 2023 at the same company. From April 2022 to July 2023, they served as a Product Design Lead at Medenterprises. Before starting at Medenterprises, Lauren worked at Fjord, Part of Accenture Interactive from 2017 to 2022, where they held the positions of Design Lead, Senior Service and Interaction Designer, and Service and Interaction Designer. Lauren also has experience as a Service Designer at Service Design NZ Ltd from May 2016 to July 2017. Additionally, they worked as a Manufacturing Craftsperson at Return to Sender Caskets from September 2015 to April 2016 and as a Design Research Assistant at The Distillery Ltd from February 2015 to August 2015. Lauren's early experience includes being a Graphic Design Intern at Thought-Wired from July 2014 to August 2015 and a Qualitative & Quantitative Researcher at Auckland District Health Board from December 2013 to February 2014.

Lauren Hyland completed their Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design & Innovation (Product Design) from Auckland University of Technology from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended Mt Aspiring College in Wanaka for High School in 2007, focusing on Outdoor Education. Lauren Hyland also completed their High School education in General Studies at Saint Kentigern College in Auckland from 2000 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in various fields, including "Leading like a Futurist" from LinkedIn, "Applied Behavioural Science Training" from Coglode, "Kundalini Yoga Teacher - Level 1 Certified: 200 hours" from Kundalini Research Institute, and "The Art of Facilitation - Stage 1 Certificate" from Zenergy Global: Facilitating Collective Intelligence.
