Jim Brady

Jim Brady is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in journalism and leadership roles. Currently serving as Vice President of Journalism at the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation since August 2021, Jim is also a board member for the Media Impact Funders and the International Women's Media Foundation. Previous roles include a Board of Trustees position at the American Press Institute, where efforts focus on advancing sustainable journalism, and being a board member at the National Press Foundation, which educates journalists. As CEO of Spirited Media Inc., Jim led initiatives for digital transformation in media, and served as Public Editor for ESPN, enhancing engagement with audiences. Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Print Journalism from American University.
