Mike Niebling has a diverse range of work experience in the field of user experience design. Mike started their career as a Senior Resident Assistant at the University of Missouri-Rolla in 2003. Mike then worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at DePaul University in 2007. Mike later joined User Centric, Inc. in 2008 as a User Experience Specialist, where they worked on various projects including remote testing and large-scale usability tests.

In 2009, Mike became an Independent Contractor, working on an agile software development team and conducting usability tests for a web-based CRM module. Mike also participated in a large-scale comparative usability test for a set of mobile devices during this time.

Later in 2009, Mike joined The SAVO Group as a User Experience Designer, where they designed the company's first mobile app and maintained the design documentation process. Mike also created functional prototypes and built internal apps using HTML, Flash, and C#.

In 2012, Mike joined Sonoma Partners as a Senior User Experience Architect, where they helped build out a new Enterprise Mobility & User-Centered Design practice. Here, they designed a native Windows 8 touch application for Special Forces commanders and worked on various mobile and web applications.

Currently, Mike works at Mediafly as a Principal Design Engineer, focusing on a transition of the company's frontend codebase. Mike'srole is a combination of UX design and frontend engineering, allowing him to utilize their technical skills while staying connected to their design roots.

Mike Niebling obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Information Science & Technology from Missouri University of Science and Technology. Mike then pursued a Master of Science degree in Human-Computer Interaction at DePaul University.
