Catlin Bowers has had a diverse range of work experiences in the field of media and marketing. Catlin started their career as a Marketing Intern for Account Planner/Researcher at Funk/Levis & Associates in 2009. Catlin then served as the VP of Marketing for Women in Business from 2009 to 2010. In 2009, they also worked as a Media Intern at Smart-ups and as a Social Media Intern at Whidbey Watershed Stewards.
In 2010, Bowers joined R/West as a Media Coordinator and later transitioned to the role of Media Buyer, focusing on local and regional campaigns in industries such as Health, Financial, Automotive, and Beverage. Catlin collaborated with different departments to execute integrated marketing communications campaigns.
Moving forward, Bowers joined AKQA as an Associate Media Planner in 2013, where they assisted in digital media planning, buying, and implementation for national Clorox campaigns. Catlin then progressed to the role of Media Planner and co-managed the planning, buying, and measurement of digital campaigns for several Clorox brands. Bowers eventually became a Media Supervisor, overseeing a team and leading the quarterly planning and buying process.
In 2017, Bowers joined UM Worldwide as a Manager of Integrated Investment, where they led investment for the UM Coca-Cola Customer Connections and Freestyle teams. Catlin managed day-to-day activities, ensuring campaigns met client objectives and maintaining communication with internal and external partners.
Bowers then worked at AMP Agency as an Associate Media Director, overseeing integrated awareness and direct response campaigns for Combe and LifeStyles Healthcare accounts. Catlin also played a role in integrating client first-party data with agency DMP and strategizing use cases across data and media platforms.
In 2018, Bowers joined Initiative as an Associate Director, Communications Design. Catlin supervised a team responsible for integrated channel planning and managed relationships with buying teams and creative agencies. Catlin also facilitated campaign measurement by compiling and calculating media data.
At Initiative, Bowers took on the role of Associate Director, Digital Partnerships in 2019, leading a team that managed digital planning, buying, and analytics for various brand and eCommerce campaigns. Catlin also sat on the IPG Mediabrands Privacy Taskforce as the Initiative East Coast Champion for Partnerships, offering assistance with policy and privacy education.
Most recently, in 2021, Bowers joined Mediahub Worldwide as a Director of Data Privacy Governance. Catlin was later promoted to VP, Director, Data Privacy Governance in 2022.
Catlin Bowers attended the University of Oregon from 2007 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Communication Studies. Prior to that, they studied at Parsons School of Design - The New School from 2005 to 2007, focusing on coursework in Design and Management.
