Jean-Luc Kerjan began their work experience in 2012 as an Engineer at towerCast, where they developed web applications. Jean-Luc then worked at Orange as a Web Development Engineer, where they developed a web portal for testing OIPF functionalities for connected TVs and set-top boxes. Jean-Luc also developed a benchmark portal to test CSS rendering performance of browsers. In 2013, they worked at Silamir as a Web Development Engineer, before joining AREVA as a Web Development Engineer for tablets. In 2014, they joined Envivio as a Software Development Engineer, where they developed web interfaces and REST interfaces for video encoding servers. Currently, they are working at MediaKind as a Software Development Engineer.

Jean-Luc Kerjan attended Université de Rennes I from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a degree in Ingenieur en Informatique. Their field of study was Ingénierie logicielle et système informatique. Additionally, Jean-Luc also pursued studies at Université de Rennes I, specializing in Logiciel et Système Informatique, although the specific start and end years are unknown.
