Valentina la Ferla

Valentina La Ferla has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several companies. Valentina started their career at Selex ES in 2003, where they worked as a Software Engineer and later became a Senior Software Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for developing and integrating software for radar systems, including tasks such as software requirements definition, configuration management, and coordination of development teams. Valentina also played a crucial role in the design and development of software for managing multi-processor environments.

In 2014, Valentina joined Ericsson Television as a Senior Software Engineer. Valentina worked on various scrum teams, collaborating with professionals worldwide to enhance the efficiency and capabilities of AVP4000 and future System encoders. Valentina'sresponsibilities included developing low-level video encoding software, test framework development and support, and the development of new features for video ancillary data management. Valentina also contributed to audio coding and decoding development and defects management using multicore TI processors.

Valentina's most recent work experience is with MediaKind, where they currently serve as a Software Development Manager. In this role, they provide local line management for scrum teams and supports functional managers with remote teams. Valentina is responsible for overseeing the work of engineers, particularly those working remotely. Overall, Valentina La Ferla possesses a strong background in software development, particularly in the areas of digital signal processing and video encoding.

Valentina La Ferla completed their high-school education from Liceo Scientifico Salvador Allende from 1992 to 1997. During their time there, they obtained a high-school diploma, with a focus on science. Valentina also took additional classes in physics and informatics.

Following their high-school education, Valentina attended Politecnico di Milano from 1997 to 2003, where they pursued a degree in Telecommunications Engineering. Valentina successfully obtained an Engineer's degree in this field.

In terms of additional certifications, Valentina acquired the "Certificate of Advanced English (grade B)" from the University of Cambridge ESOL Level 2 in June 2010. Furthermore, they completed the course "Grow Your Impact as a Mentor" offered by LinkedIn, obtaining the certification in January 2023.
