Marc Abbyad

While living in rural Malawi, Marc volunteered his IT skills at the local hospital, allowing him to see how technology could be applied in a meaningful way to promote health care. He got involved with Medic Mobile in 2010, managing deployments in East and West Africa. He has since served as Product Manager and Director of Engineering, before taking on the role of Chief Product Officer, where leads the Product team that designs, builds, and maintains the Community Health Toolkit.

Marc holds a BEng in Software Engineering and a MSc in Bioresource Engineering. He has previous experience developing firmware and wireless communication software for security cameras in taxis, as well as experience with front and back end web development. He speaks French, English, and some Spanish, and always travels with a Frisbee. He is based in Toronto, Canada.
