Bengt-Ola S. Bengtsson

Bengt-Ola S. (Ben) Bengtsson, MD, FAAP, is a clinical professor of pediatrics at Western University of Health Sciences since March 2011, with previous roles ranging from clinical associate professor to clinical assistant professor in the same department. Bengtsson has been a neonatologist at Pediatrix Medical Group since June 2003 and served as an expert reviewer for the Medical Board of California starting in November 2014. Prior experience includes a position as a neonatologist at Children's Specialists of San Diego from June 2002 to May 2003. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Uppsala University (1987-1993) and additional studies at the University of California, Davis, as well as training in tropical medicine at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine.
