Jeffrey Bornemann has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as a Construction/Public Works Officer in the US Navy's Civil Engineer Corps from 1992 to 1999. Following their military service, they joined Chrysler, LLC as a Plant Engineer in 1999, later becoming the Engineering and Maintenance Manager from 2002 to 2008. In 2008, they transitioned to the Medical College of Wisconsin, where they served as the Director of Facility Engineering and Maintenance until 2011. From 2011 to 2016, they held the position of Senior Director of Campus Operations, and finally took on the role of Vice President of Facilities and Operations in 2016.
Jeffrey Bornemann holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategy, Operations, and Marketing from Northwestern University, which they completed from 1996 to 1999. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering, from 1988 to 1992. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Professional Engineer (PE - Mechanical) from the State of Wisconsin.
