Joseph E. Kerschner

Board Member & Provost and Executive Vice President and Dean, School of Medicine at Medical College of Wisconsin

Dr. Joseph E. Kerschner serves as Dean of the Medical School, and as Provost and Executive Vice President of the Medical College of Wisconsin. Prior to MCW, Kerschner held executive leadership positions including CEO of the Children’s Specialty Group and Executive Vice President of Children’s Hospital and Health System.

Dr. Kerschner also is a Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology and Communication Sciences. He maintains an active membership on numerous professional and honorary societies and is currently the President of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology. Dr. Kerschner maintains an active clinical practice, is recognized as a national expert in pediatric otolaryngology and has been named to the America’s Best Doctors list for the past six consecutive years.

Dr. Kerschner completed undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He received his MD from the Medical College of Wisconsin, completed a general surgery internship at the University of South Florida, completed his otolaryngology residency at the University of South Florida and completed a pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
