Svp, University Engagement And Strategic Planning at Medical College of Wisconsin

Mara Lord has diverse work experience spanning over several years. Mara began their career at Seattle Midwifery School in 2000, where they served as the Development and Marketing Director for two years. In 2002, they joined Community Birth and Health as the Executive Director and held this position until 2009. From 1998 to 2003, Mara worked as a Consultant at Creative Consulting. In 2009, they started at the Medical College of Wisconsin, initially as the Director of Strategic Planning, and later moved up to the role of Chief of Staff. In 2015, they became the Vice President and Chief Communications Officer, and in 2018, they were promoted to the position of Vice President and Chief Development Officer. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Vice President of University Engagement and Strategic Planning at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Mara Lord attended the University of Washington from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Comparative History of Ideas. Mara then pursued their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Organizational Leadership at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2006 to 2008. Currently, Mara is a PhD student at the Medical College of Wisconsin, focusing on Public and Community Health.
