Sivesh Pillay

Sivesh Pillay, PhD has a diverse range of work experience in the field of research and academia. Sivesh is currently working as the Program Director - Research Operations at the Medical College of Wisconsin since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Program Manager - Research Division, Department of Anesthesiology at the same institution from March 2020 to December 2022.

Before joining the Medical College of Wisconsin, Pillay worked at GE Healthcare as a Clinical Research Manager specializing in Anesthesia & Respiratory Care from October 2016 to December 2019. Sivesh also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for Sleep and Consciousness from July 2015 to June 2016.

Pillay gained experience as a Medical Writer Consultant at the Medical College of Wisconsin from September 2015 to April 2016. Prior to this, they worked as a Biotech/Bioscience Consultant at Postdoc Industry Consultants (PICO) from September 2014 to October 2015.

Sivesh'searlier work experience includes roles as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Research Assistant-Doctoral Training at the Medical College of Wisconsin from 2013 to 2015 and from 2007 to 2013, respectively. Sivesh also served as an Intern/Research Assistant at the same institution from January 2005 to May 2006.

Pillay started their career in academia as a Teaching Assistant at Carroll University from January 2004 to May 2006.

Sivesh Pillay, PhD, earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology from Carroll University in 2006. Sivesh went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biomedical Sciences, Neuroscience at the Medical College of Wisconsin from 2006 to 2013.
