Farah Farahati is a highly experienced professional in the field of health economics, currently serving as the Lead Medical Economics Analyst at Medical Mutual since January 2022. In this role, Farahati has led the development of cost-effectiveness analyses for major chronic condition management programs and performed analyses on population health to identify potential cost savings. An academic as well, Farahati teaches Health Economics at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and has previously taught at the University of Maryland and University of Phoenix. Prior positions include Director of Health Economics at Fresenius Medical Care North America and Senior Economist at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Farahati holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Northern Illinois University and additional degrees in Pharmacoeconomics and Economics from McMaster University, Western Illinois University, and University of Tehran.
