Benjamin Cameransi, Jr, MD, DABA has a diverse range of work experience in the medical field. Benjamin is the Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Mingowood Pharmacal, LLC, where they lead a team in developing novel acidic cannabinoid products. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Medical Officer and VP of Medical Affairs at Lyotropic Therapeutics, Inc., where they played a key role in developing and commercializing the LyoCell™ platform and its medications, such as Ryanodex™.
Dr. Cameransi has also worked as a Medical Director and Anesthesiologist at various medical centers, including the Medical University of South Carolina, Grand Strand Medical Center, Comprehensive Pain Specialists, Spalding Regional Medical Center, Liberty Regional Medical Center, and Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center. In these roles, they managed anesthesia care and provided specialized care for various medical procedures. Additionally, they worked as an Anesthesiologist at Florence Anesthesia Associates, LLC and served as the Medical Director at Seaside Anesthesia Consultants.
Benjamin Cameransi, Jr, MD, DABA completed their medical education at Ross University School of Medicine from 1991 to 1995. Benjamin then pursued a preliminary year in internal medicine at Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Towson, MD from 1995 to 1996. Benjamin went on to complete their anesthesiology and critical care residency program with a concentration in pain management, cardiothoracic, and critical care anesthesia at Penn State College of Medicine from 1996 to 1999. Benjamin is certified by The American Board of Anesthesiology as a board-certified anesthesiologist and is licensed to practice medicine in the states of South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
