James Chen

James Chen is a seasoned cardiothoracic surgeon with extensive experience in the field, currently serving at Mediclinic since March 2020. Previously, James held the position of cardiothoracic surgical registrar at the Department of Health KZN and worked as a cardiothoracic surgeon at the Department of Health from January 2013 to March 2020, focusing on surgeries at IALCH. James also completed a cardiothoracic surgical registrar role at the Department of Health KZN from January 2005 to January 2012. Education includes a MB.ChB from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, with additional specialized training in thoracic and cardiac surgery from prestigious institutions such as Tongji University, the University of Strasbourg, and KU Leuven.
