Andrea Coluccio

Andrea Coluccio, PhD, is a Senior Scientist and Team Lead in Translational Medicine at Medigene AG since August 2021, where responsibilities include lab management in Molecular Medicine, target discovery, clinical immune monitoring, and biomarker studies. Prior experience includes roles as a Senior Scientist at Fraunhofer ITEM, focusing on high-throughput drug and target discovery with patient-derived models, and a postdoctoral researcher at Technical University Munich, identifying epigenetic targets for pancreatic cancer treatment. Additional postdoctoral work at EPFL involved the discovery of genomic imprinting regulation factors, and early research experience included a Master's project on gene therapy for Epidermolysis Bullosa. Andrea holds a Master of Science in Medical Biotechnology and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia, complemented by postdoctoral training at EPFL.
