Charles Diebel has over 30 years of work experience in the financial industry. Charles started their career at American Express as a trader from 1988 to 1991. Charles then worked as a prop trader at Barclays from 1990 to 1993. Diebel joined Thomson Financial as a senior analyst from 1995 to 1998, followed by a role as a senior rates strategist at Societe Generale from 1998 to 2001. Charles then joined RBS Markets & International Banking as the Head of European Rates Strategy from 2001 to 2006. Diebel worked at Nomura International as the Head of Rates Strategy from 2006 to 2010. Charles then joined Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets as the Head of Market Strategy from 2010 to 2014. Diebel worked at Aviva Investors as the Global Head of Rates, MSFI from 2014 to 2018, and as the Head of Macro Strategy, Fixed income from 2014 to 2015. Currently, they are the Head of Fixed Income at Mediolanum Irish Operations, where they manage a team of portfolio managers and internal fixed income funds.
Charles Diebel attended Felsted from 1977 to 1984, where they studied Economics, Geography, and Maths and completed their A levels. Charles then pursued further education at the University of Exeter from 1984 to 1987, earning a BA degree in Economics.
