Katie Parker

Katie Parker has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to the present. Katie began their career in 2006 as a Promotions Intern at iHeartMedia. In 2007, they took on a Research Intern role at the University of Minnesota's Department of Family Social Science. In 2008, they worked as a Marketing Intern and a Marketing and Public Relations Intern at Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities and Effect Partners, respectively. In 2009, they were promoted to Account Coordinator at Effect Partners. In 2011, they began working at Meditech Communications, Inc. as an Account Director and Account Manager, where they managed client communications and internal production processes for 10-15 active video, 3D animation and interactive projects at any given time. Additionally, they developed navigation charts for websites and iPad applications, collaborated with design teams on user interface design, and took an active role in testing iPad app and website performance prior to client review. In 2011, they also began a blog, Veggie and the Beast, where they channelled their passions for writing, cooking and photography into a food blog and partnered with leading organic and natural brands on recipe development. In 2015, they published The High-Protein Vegetarian Cookbook.

Katie Parker attended St. Olaf College from 2004 to 2008 and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Media Studies.
