Larissa Whale

Larissa Whale is a skilled Biomedical Engineer with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Arkansas, obtained in May 2022. Currently serving as a Medical Scribe at MedOptim since May 2022, Larissa previously held various leadership roles within Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, including Vice President and Public Relations Chairman. Experience also includes team leadership for a senior design project focused on enhancing peritoneal dialysis catheter design, mentoring first-year engineering students, and serving as Secretary for the National Society of Black Engineers. Larissa participated in a highly selective summer research internship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, aimed at increasing diversity in the healthcare field. Additional roles include teaching young children at St. James United Methodist Church and working in fitness and client training at the City of Little Rock.
