Christina Papageorgopoulos

Christina Papageorgopoulos PhD has extensive work experience in the field of clinical research and trial management. Christina started their career as a Clinical Study Coordinator/Postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Francisco & Ross Products, Division of Abbott Laboratories in 1997. Christina then worked as a Clinical Trial Manager/Monitor at CRONOS Research from 1998 to 2000.

In 2001, Christina began their freelance career as a Clinical Trial Specialist, managing and monitoring clinical trials for pharmaceutical companies and contract research organizations. During this time, they successfully managed a double-blind FDA Registration Study and a Phase III study of a pediatrics RSV vaccine.

From 2009 to 2012, they worked at PRA International as a Country Expert & Country Start-Up Specialist. Christina played a key role in establishing PRA's local presence in Greece and Cyprus and excelled in regulatory compliance, submission management, and vendor coordination.

Christina then held various senior roles at AbbVie, inVentiv Health, Accovion GmbH, and Kantar Health, where they continued to contribute their expertise in clinical research and country start-up services.

Most recently, they worked at Medpace as a Lead Clinical Research Associate, overseeing clinical research activities. Throughout their career, Christina has demonstrated strong leadership skills, regulatory expertise, and effective management of study start-up services at a local level.

In addition to their clinical research career, Christina also worked as a Nutritionist/Dietician in private practice from 2001 to 2004.

Christina Papageorgopoulos PhD earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Christina later obtained a PhD in Nutrition and Endocrinology from the same university. Additionally, they hold a certification as a Yoga teacher obtained in 2016. Christina is also licensed to practice as a Nutritionist/Dietician through the Hellenic Dietetics Association.
