Brett Adelman has over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry. In 2010, they began working for Epic as a Project Management and Implementation Services consultant. In this role, they monitored timelines, budgets, and burn rates for multiple projects, and successfully implemented four multi-million dollar software applications on-time and under-budget. Brett also validated and designed future-state workflows with clinical subject matter experts, and managed and provided instruction to client teams in support of inter- and intra-application build and testing.
In 2012, Adelman began working for Nordic Consulting Partners, Inc. as a Senior Consultant. That same year, they also started working at Rady Children's Hospital as an Epic Ambulatory CIS Team member. In this role, they developed, built, and trained workflows for the Epic electronic medical health record, which improved the speed and accuracy of clinical documentation for over fifteen medical specialties. Brett also overhauled longitudinal care of patients in hematology, and hosted project team education sessions.
In 2015, Adelman began working for the Association of Clinical Research Organizations (ACRO) as a Health Policy and Program Manager. In this role, they authored comments on behalf of the ACRO members in response to public dockets by the Food and Drug Administration, and provided strategic support and insight for the ACRO Board of Directors, CRO Forum, and five work initiatives. That same year, they also started working for the Washington Health Strategies Group as a Health Policy Analyst.
In 2016, Adelman co-founded Karate Health, which creates technologies to support people living with lupus (SLE), multiple sclerosis (MS), rheumatoid arthritis (RA), Crohn's disease, and other autoimmune diseases. Karate Health was later acquired by Progentec Diagnostics, Inc. in 2019, where they began working as the Chief Marketing Officer and Director of Patient & Physician Engagement. In this role, they managed the design and development of digital health technologies used by over 120,000 people quarterly.
Adelman currently works for MedRhythms, Inc. as the Program and Alliance Lead, Neurodegeneration.
Brett Adelman attended Carleton College from 2006 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology. During their time at Carleton College, they also took a course at the Universidad de las Américas Puebla in 2009, studying Spanish Language and Literature.
