Megan Ruiter

Megan Ruiter has a diverse background in the clinical research field. Megan most recently worked at Medrio, starting in February 2021 as a Clinical Data Scientist and later promoted to Lead Clinical Data Scientist, a position they currently hold. Prior to Medrio, Megan worked at Axiom Real-Time Metrics as a Lead Data Manager from August 2020 to February 2021. Megan also gained experience at Veristat, where they worked as a Clinical Data Manager I from October 2018 to August 2020. Earlier in their career, Megan worked at Topstone Research in multiple roles, including Clinical Data Manager, Quality Assurance Associate, and Clinical Trial Specialist/Clinical Research Coordinator, where they gained experience in managing trial master files, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and coordinating with sites and vendors for clinical trials.

Megan Ruiter has a Bachelor's Degree in Honours Biology from the University of Waterloo. Megan attended the University from 2008 to 2013. In 2015, Megan obtained a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Research from Seneca College.

In addition to their formal education, Megan has obtained several certifications. In September 2015, they completed the "Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS 2: CORE)" certification from the Panel on Research Ethics. In December 2015, they obtained the "Responsible Conduct of Research - Life Science" certification from the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program). Finally, in June 2017, Megan completed the "Data Management for Clinical Research" certification from Coursera.
