AnneMarie Brinda, PhD, is a Senior Scientist at Medtronic since January 2022, specializing in deep brain stimulation (DBS) therapy for movement disorders. Prior to this role, AnneMarie served as a Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Minnesota from August 2017 to January 2022, focusing on the optimization of DBS therapy, preclinical study design, patient-specific modeling, and clinical trial applications. AnneMarie gained additional experience as an Engineer Intern at Medtronic in 2021, supporting testing of a new DBS system. Previous roles include tutoring in biomedical engineering at Mississippi State University and conducting research at NASA on the effects of space conditions on human blood cells. AnneMarie holds a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Mississippi State University.
